I see this question popping up all the time, so I decided to make a post explaining: What is the difference between a digipak and a CD? The difference is that the Digipak is only a recyclable case – sleeve for the CD. It’s not an actual CD. It works as a cover for the disc, and it’s made out of a card. 

So when we talk about Digipak CD, we mean a case (Digipak) and the CD inside the case. 

Same when we talk about Jewel Case CD, we mean a plastic case (jewel case) and a CD inside. 

That’s it. This is how simple it is. 
So if you think about it, the question about the difference doesn’t make any sense 🙂
